What’s the color of love?
Love is a beautiful feeling,
given different meanings and expressed in diverse ways by people. In so many
societies around the world, people express love for each other in a variety of
ways. Both business and platonic
relationships now exist across nations. Ironically, there is a huge surge in
violence, arson, murders, wars and chaos around the world that John Lenon quotes; "we live in a
world where we have to hide to make love, while violence is practiced in broad
daylight."
How
wars have made the world less colorful
One of the main justifications
for wars amongst different countries is the need to preserve the territorial
integrity of one’s nation and securing the lives of her citizens. For such
nations to be peace, they resort to killing nationals of other countries.
Nations then proceed to sign bilateral relationships with other economies to
promote trade. There is a conflict in man's actions causing him to love from
the heart and hate with the same heart.
John
Lenon quotes; “If someone thinks that peace and love are just a cliché that must
have been left behind in the 60s, that’s a problem. Peace and love are
eternal”.
Love unites not divide, so when
our beliefs and faith which is supposed to preach love, peace, and oneness
becomes a source of death, deprivation and pain there is a disconnection
between what we are and ought to be.
Finding
Truelove in real people
To love truly is to put humanity
ahead of economic, political and religious interest and that is one of the
challenges of today’s society. John Lenin quotes; Count your age by friends,
not years. Count your life by smiles, not tears. A system that causes humanity
to increase the number of deaths around the world, sickness, and pains,
bloodshed, and wars in a bid to achieve lasting world peace only help to kill
true friendship.
What true love does to people:
• Tolerance
True love causes one to be
patient with others, their cultures and views; allowing them to develop at
their pace.
• Giving and support
So many countries are
experiencing pestilence, poverty and suffering from deprivation caused by wars,
famine, and others. Building friendship, therefore, puts stronger nations in a
position to help weaker ones.
John
Lenon quotes; “It matters not who you love, where you love, why you love, when you
love or how you love, it matters only that you love”.
